- Ron’s Comments: I was introduced to Geocaching in 2009. I started off my caching career by printing out Google Maps of the area where the caches were located. Probably 10 of my first caches were done like that. I got a smartphone in early 2010 and downloaded an app called “C:GEO” which works on android phones and the rest of my 3400+ finds have been done with only a smartphone. I have never used a GPS unit and couldn’t turn one on to save my life! I enjoy doing Virtuals, Letterboxes, Events and sometimes benchmarks. My real passion is for Challenge Caches. I think they add a different twist on the game that keeps it fresh and fun for me.
